BC Interior Championship Results

On Saturday, May 29, 1999 eighty-six contestants and nine past champions competed in the 1999 BC Interior Grade Championship in Kelowna BC.

William Moore of Tolko Industries of Louis Creek, BC won the contest with a mark of 94.3%.

Second place went to Rodney Taylor of Skeena Cellulose in Smithers BC, followed by Ben Hawke of Galloway Lumber in Galloway, BC.

Michael Fell of Lytton Forest Products in Lytton, BC won the “Junior“ award.

Balbir Nagra of Finley Forest Industries in Mackenzie, BC won the “Champion of Champions” with a mark of 96.8%.

This year saw a new level of competition with the “Corporate Challenge” where teams from different mills compete with each other.  Each team takes the top three marks, one of which one must be a first year competitor.   This year the honors go to Team Galloway of Galloway Lumber.

BC Coast Championship Cancelled

After a long sixty-seven year history the annual BC Coast Championship (normally held in June) has been cancelled by Canadian Mill Services.

International Member of the National Association of Home Builders
